Yossi Bana'a (The White Tzaddik)

The synagogue, named after the 3rd century Talmudic Sage, accommodates the Sage's tomb in the room adjacent to the synagogue. A popular legend tells of the Rabbi's son who got the fig tree in the courtyard to bear fruit out of season in order to pay his father's workers. The son was punished for disturbing the Almighty with trifles and did not live out the year.
