Despite its name, it has no connection with David, and was constructed by Herod to protect the palace he built around 24 B.C. to the south of the Citadel. The David's Tower museum follows the history of Jerusalem's Old City in different periods. At the top of the tower is a model of the exact view from the tower as it was in Herod's time. The museum offers guided tours in several languages, which worth every penny.
