The Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes (also known as the Church of the Multiplication) is a church in Tabgha on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee.
The church is modern but stands on the site of 4th and 5th-century churches and is an exact replica of the 4th century basilica built to commemorate the miracle of the feeding of the five thousand. It preserves an early Christian mosaic which features famous motifs, such as the basket of bread flanked by two fish and a design of wildlife next to the Nile and its water level. The church is built around a black rock underneath the Altar, reverenced as the rock upon which Jesus blessed and broke the bread.
